Just returned from a great 10 day stay at Nozawa Peaks. Location is handy to everything... onsens, supermarket, chairlift, bus service, restaurants, ski hire. Accomodation is comfortable, spacious, warm, clean and with a great kitchen if you want to use for any meal and storage space available for your own food. Loved the experience of sleeping on futon mattress on tatami matting. Kain and Liz are fabulous hosts with excellent knowledge of the village and skiing. We would recommend highly.

Wonderful stay in this gem of a place

Traveling with three kids in tow was made super easy in this lovely lodge. Everything we could need was provided for; comfortable futon beds in clean rooms, hot showers after a day of skiiing, a communal kitchen where we could have our meals (whenever we didn't go out for dinner). Plus a ski rental place across the road, onsens nearby, a bakery a stone's throw away, and the ski lift just up the road. Liz and Kain are such welcoming hosts, answered every question, and even helped us with catching the shuttle back to the bullet train for our departure. Couldn't have made a better choice for our ski holidays this year, if we get a chance we will definitely be back in future!

Great hosts, perfect accommodation

We spent a wonderful 8 nights staying at Nozawa Peaks in January. Kain and Liz are amazing hosts and were extremely helpful leading up to our stay, during and after. The lodge is very clean, welcoming and comfortable. The communal kitchen was perfect for our kids after a long day skiing and made breakfasts easy. The lounge area is a fun space to spend time away from your room with board games, cushions and large TV. We stayed in the large family 5 pax room and were very comfortable. There is a chairlift nearby and a convenient shuttle to the gondala. There is a convenient storage area and dry room for ski gear. We really enjoyed the wonderful restaurant next door and ate there 3 nights. For self catering the supermarket in town is well stocked and we found everything we needed including cornflakes, oats, eggs, bacon, fruit and vegies. There is also an onsen close by. Can't recommended Nozawa Peaks highly enough.

Amazing holidays with friends at Nozawa Onsen

Located 10 ms walk from the center of Nozawa Onsen, this chalet is ideal for a stay with your family and/or friends. Nozawa Peaks is a traditional Japanese style accommodation with modern showers and kitchen. Rooms are comfortable. Communal facilities are immaculate and there is a sitting room that feels very cozy. We were staying with another family and 7 kids/adolescents and it felt like being at home. The chalet is not far from the ski lift and ticket office. There is a great Onsen a minute walk from the chalet. The staff was warm and helpful. My daughter had a ski accident and staff did everything they could to help us. We could not have expected better service.

Amazing value for money

Located in Nakao which is a short 7 minute walk to the nice cafes, bars and restaurants. Rooms are tidy, spacious and all you need. The drying room is great if you plan on doing some skiing or snowboarding. The communal facilities are all kept immaculate and the lounge area is a nice touch of traditional Japanese dining. Overall amazing value for money and great location right below the ski lift. Nakao Onsen (bath house) is a 1 minute walk and a must do if you’re staying here - Casey (Airbnb review)

“Great Lodge”

We found a room here when the rest of the village was booked out. It was probably the nicest room we've stayed in in Nozawa in about 6 trips there and great value too. Newly renovated, clean, big kitchen and dining area. The staff are friendly and very helpful. It's also on a great location only two minutes walk to the lifts. We'll be back again! - Robert S (Tripadvisor)

"Magical week at Nozawa Onsen"

We've just come back from a magical week at Nozawa Onsen at Nozawa Peaks. The accommodation is extremely clean, comfortable, convenient and stylishly designed. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect! You're a minute away from one of the biggest onsens in town and a bakery, next door to a cozy Japanese restaurant and 2-3 minutes away from a ticket office and chairlift!! It's also quick and easy to get to the bus stop when you leave. Walking to town is easy, flat and scenic, and if you want to have food and drinks at the bottom of the main gondola, you can even ski/board back from there! Sad to be home now but hopefully we can come again next year :) Tim Foster (Facebook review)

"Amazing traditional Japanese style accommodation"

Nozawa Peaks is an amazing traditional Japanese style accommodation with modern touches. It is situated in a prime location to go skiing as it is a short walk to the ski lift aswell as ticket office. It has a fantastic locker room for skis along with a drying room for wet gear and boots. The self catering kitchen has everything you need to cook up a decent meal with all the amenities. You have your own storage compartments in a large fridge and cupboard space for dry goods. It has a brilliant large shared lounge with traditional comfortable seating and a smart TV where you can watch movies. The washing/toilet facilities are superb with large double showers and piping hot water, which is great after a day of skiing! The rooms are spacious and layed out in a Japanese style with a futon rolled out on the floor. There is lots of luggage space and a great warm heater. Another highlight of staying here is the opportunity to use the local onsens, the closest being 3 minutes walk away. We would highly recommend this place. Victoria and Danie Mavin (Airbnb Review)
